Introduction

The Graduate Attributes Matrix for Employability (GAME) provides a framework for you to keep a record of the 10 skills and attributes throughout your time at University. These can be developed from a part time job, your academic work, the Bolton Employability Award and other extra-curricular activities that have been verified by the University, such as voluntary work, student representative roles and offices held in Student Union clubs and societies.

This section will tell you more about GAME, what each attribute is, how you can demonstrate them and how you need to ‘show not tell’ others about your attributes. Sources of further information and assistance are provided.

The activity will test your understanding of each GAME attribute. Complete the assessment to earn a digital badge. You can also undertake The GAME self-assessment plan, which is a self-assessment tool produced by the University. This may be included within your studies but if not, you can complete this in your own time or as part of the Bolton Award. You may find it useful for applications and interviews.

You can always access further support from the Careers and Employability Service to discuss how you can develop the attributes and use them in the recruitment process.
