Introduction

Personal Academic Tutors (PAT) are members of the academic team within your school who can provide individual support for your overall academic and personal welfare, as well as signpost you to additional areas of help within the University if you need it.

They are here for you at the start of your academic journey and they remain a constant source of advice and guidance whilst you are a student at the University. Students are typically made aware of who their PAT is at the start of their studies and get to meet them for the first-time during the induction activities in the initial few weeks of their course.

Explore this short tutorial to discover how your PAT can work with you by encouraging you to succeed in your studies, supporting you in times of need and promoting opportunities for your personal development.
