Introduction
This is a simple way to record information, either from lectures or academic reading. The notes are recorded in a sequence as you listen to or read the information. Pick out keywords and record some detail for each point. It's a good idea to leave a wide margin so that you can add further detail later if necessary.
Advantages of Linear Notes:
- Logical - organises material effectively
- Neat and easy to follow at a later date
- Chronological, it will reflect the order of the points presented
